Bomberman Fantasy Race Launch Release (France, Germany)

Bomberman Fantasy Race is a Bomberman racing spin-off developed by Graphic Research and published in Europe by Virgin Interactive. This variant is the Original release for France and Germany, catalogued under serial SLES-01712 and dated 15 July 2000. It is a single disk in a Full Jewel PAL case, and the EAN barcode is 5028587082290.

The recorded languages are English, French, German and Spanish, so the disk is multilingual even though it was sold in two specific markets. In the game, players race on animals through fantasy courses, using triangle jumps, bomb dashes and catapults, and earn coins to unlock new creatures and tracks.

This is one of seven catalogued PAL variants, all sharing the same serial, which means the barcode is the most reliable way to separate this French and German pressing from the others. It is the first-issue edition rather than a later budget reprint, which gives it extra appeal for collectors who prefer original packaging.
