Battle Arena Toshinden Platinum (France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, UK)

Battle Arena Toshinden is a 3D fighting game developed by Tamsoft and published by Takara, released as a European PlayStation launch title in 1995. This variant is the Platinum budget re-release, dated 1 March 1997, distributed across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Netherlands.

Presented in the Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL case format with a hologram on the case, this release contains a single English-language disc. No loose paperwork or case stickers are documented for this variant, and no bundled demo was included. The Platinum label represents Sony’s programme of re-releasing successful titles at a lower price point, broadening the game’s availability after the original launch window had passed.

For collectors, this is the more commonly encountered pressing of the game, while the original launch edition remains the more desirable find.
