Armored Core

Armored Core is a third-person mech action game developed by FromSoftware and published in Europe by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, the debut entry in the Armored Core franchise. Players customise a modular mech from over a hundred available parts and take on mercenary missions in a post-apocalyptic future where corporate factions compete for control beneath a ruined Earth’s surface.

This continental European Original release carries serial SCES-00842 and was distributed across France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands under a combined pressing. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a single disc supporting English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Released on 31 October 1997, it is one of four PAL variants. This combined pressing grouped several major continental markets under one EAN barcode, a different approach to the UK, France, and Germany pressings which each received dedicted variants under the same serial.
