Area 51 is a light gun shooter developed by Mesa Logic, originally published by Atari Games, and ported to PlayStation for European distribution by GT Interactive Software and Midway. The game follows a military squad assaulting an alien-occupied Area 51 facility, battling Kronn aliens and zombie soldiers. This wide-territory release covers the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands, carrying serial SLES-00578 and released on 26 November 1996. Presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram, the disc supports English, French, German, and Spanish. One of two PAL variants catalogued for this title, this Original pressing is the primary physical release and the more commonly encountered version compared to the later Midway Classics reissue.
