Ape Escape is a 3D platform game developed by SCE Japan Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, and the first PlayStation game to require the DualShock controller. This UK Special Bundle release carries serial SCES-01564, released on 7 February 1999. It is presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with a hologram on the case, and is an English-only single-disc release with a clear “Ape Escape Dualshock Only” case sticker. Research confirms this was sold in a bundle box containing a green DualShock controller, with no barcode on the reverse of the outer packaging, making it a sought-after variant for hardware bundle collectors.
