Air Combat is Namco’s combat flight simulation game, the first title in the Ace Combat franchise, and a notable early release in the PlayStation PAL catalogue. This Platinum re-release, dated 1 March 1997, was distributed across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Netherlands.

Presented in the Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL case format with a hologram on the case, the release contains a single English-language disc. No loose paperwork or case stickers are documented for this variant, and no bundled demo was included. Research notes indicate that the Platinum version actually sold more copies than the original release, which is a noteworthy detail for those assessing relative scarcity across the Air Combat PAL variants.
