Actua Ice Hockey Launch Release (UK)

Actua Ice Hockey is an ice hockey game from the Actua Sports franchise, developed and published by Gremlin Graphics. It was followed by a sequel in 1999.

This is the UK Original release, dated 10 February 1998, which makes it the earliest PAL pressing of the game that we have catalogued. It comes in a Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram B and holds a single disk. The language selection is broad, with English, Finnish, French, German and Swedish all included, and the EAN barcode is 5013658085737.

As the first pressing under the original serial, it predates the Zoo Classics budget reissues that followed under a different serial. That makes it the baseline copy for anyone documenting the game’s UK history. Copies in complete condition are the ones collectors tend to prefer, as it was released before the budget reissue and in smaller numbers.
