Z is a real-time strategy game developed by The Bitmap Brothers, ported to PlayStation by Krisalis Software and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Originally released for MS-DOS in 1996, the game pits two armies of robots against each other across alien planets in a territory-capture-based RTS. Five PAL variants are catalogued, each country receiving its own dedicated serial: UK (SCES-00600), France (SCES-00601), Germany (SCES-00602), Italy (SCES-00603), and Spain (SCES-00604), all released on 1 December 1997. All releases use Full Jewel PAL cases with Hologram A on the cases, each in its respective national language. The five-serial localisation strategy is notable and makes a complete set of all five variants a satisfying collecting goal, representing a thorough country-by-country approach to the PAL release.
