Xenocracy

Xenocracy is a space combat simulation with political strategy elements developed by Simis and published by Grolier Interactive in 1998. Set in the far future, players command a United Planet Nations peacekeeping fighter squadron, balancing military action against four rival planetary superpowers while managing escalating tensions and an emerging alien threat.

Five PAL variants have been catalogued, with dedicated language-specific pressings for the UK (SLES-00811), France (SLES-00812), Germany (SLES-00813), Italy (SLES-00814), and Spain (SLES-00815). All are Original releases in Full Jewel PAL cases with a single disc each in the language of the respective territory. All carry a release date of 15 July 1998.

Xenocracy is a niche but well-designed title from Simis, a studio that produced a small number of interesting strategy and simulation games for the PlayStation. The five fully localised variants reflect Grolier Interactive’s broader European distribution reach, and assembling all five is an interesting collector goal.
