The X-Files

The X-Files is an adventure game developed by HyperBole Studios and published by Fox Interactive, based on the iconic American science fiction television series. The game was released across PAL Europe in late 1999, notable for its substantial four-disc format, which was relatively unusual for PlayStation releases of the period.

Five PAL variants are catalogued, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, each with a dedicated serial (SCES-01565 through SCES-01569) and presented as original releases in Multiway Jewel Four Disk cases with a hologram on the case. Each variant is localised to a single language, with the UK edition in English, France in French, Germany in German, Italy in Italian, and Spain in Spanish. All variants were released on 2 November 1999. The four-disc packaging and country-specific serials make this an interesting set for collectors aiming for complete European coverage.
