WWF War Zone
SLES-00804
Initially Released 1 September 1998
WWF War Zone is a professional wrestling game developed by Iguana West and published by Acclaim Sports, released in 1998 for the PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy. It was the first three-dimensional WWF game and features wrestlers including Bret Hart, who had departed the WWF by the time of release. The game supports four-player action across Tag Team, Tornado, War, and Training modes, with over 300 motion-captured moves and a create-a-wrestler feature.
Two PAL variants have been catalogued, both covering the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands under the same serial SLES-00804 and release date of 1 September 1998. Both come in the Full Jewel PAL case with Hologram B on the cases and a single English-language disc. The second variant is distinguished by a round white Toys R Us Bundle case sticker, indicating a retail bundle distribution channel.
The Toys R Us Bundle variant is particularly interesting to collectors as a retail-specific release, and the case sticker in good condition adds to its collector value.
