WipEout 2097 is a futuristic anti-gravity racing game developed and published by Psygnosis, the second entry in the WipEout series and a direct sequel to the original. Set in the year 2097, the game introduces the faster and more competitive F5000 AG racing league, with new tracks, weapons, and a damage interface. The game is particularly noted for its licensed electronic music soundtrack featuring artists including The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy. The PAL release arrived on 1 October 1996.
