WCW Nitro is a professional wrestling game developed by Inland Productions and published by THQ, based on the popular WCW Monday Nitro television show. The game features a large roster of WCW and nWo wrestlers, full motion video clips from the show, and arenas representing major WCW events including Starrcade and Halloween Havoc. A single PAL variant is catalogued, released on 19 June 1998 and covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain on a single disc in a Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram A sticker, presented in English. Reviews were mixed on release, with critics noting the game’s flaws whilst acknowledging its appeal to wrestling fans at a time when quality PlayStation wrestling titles were sparse.
