Wayne Gretzky’s 3D Hockey ‘98 is an ice hockey game developed by Software Creations and published in PAL territories by GT Interactive Software, endorsed by the legendary hockey player Wayne Gretzky and released in 1997. A sequel to the original Wayne Gretzky’s 3D Hockey, the game includes all twenty-six NHL teams, season play, playoffs, exhibition modes, and 3-on-3 to 5-on-5 game options. Critics noted that despite some AI and gameplay tweaks, the game recycled much of the graphics, music, and sound from its predecessor. A single PAL variant is catalogued, released on 1 October 1998 and covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands on a single disc in a Full Jewel PAL case, in English, French, German, and Spanish. A clean single-variant collect for GT Interactive sports title enthusiasts.
