Vs. is a 1997 3D fighting game developed by Polygon Magic and published by THQ, an American localisation of the Japanese arcade and PlayStation title Fighters’ Impact by Taito. The game features twenty gang-based characters designed by former Marvel Comics artist Kurtis Fujita, brawling in two-dimensional environments. Despite its distinctive visual identity and gang-turf premise, Vs. received an underwhelming critical response and faded into obscurity relatively quickly. A single PAL variant is catalogued, released on 12 June 1998 and covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain on a single disc in a Full Jewel PAL case, presented in English. The single-variant PAL landscape and the title’s general obscurity make it an interesting niche find for collectors of lesser-known THQ or fighting game releases from this era.
