VR Baseball 99

VR Baseball 99 is a baseball simulation developed by VR Sports and published by Interplay. It features all 30 major league teams and stadiums with 1998 opening day rosters, and offers exhibition, season and home run derby modes, along with options for difficulty, pitch speed, arcade or simulation hitting, fielding assistance and game time.

On PAL territory the game is a simple case for collectors, with a single variant catalogued. It is an Original release, recorded with an earliest PAL date of 1 August 1998, and one case covers the UK, France and Germany together. The packaging is a Full Jewel PAL case holding a single disc, with a Hologram A marking on the case. The only language is English, so there are no localised text versions to chase.

Baseball was never a major draw in European markets, and a title built around American major league licences sits at the niche end of the PAL library. That makes this one of those quietly scarce sports releases that completists will want on the shelf, especially given the single multi-country pressing.
