Virtual Pool
SLES-00234
Initially Released 10 May 1997
Virtual Pool is a 3D first-person pool simulation developed by Celeris and published by Interplay, originally released on PC in 1995 and later ported to the PlayStation, developed with input from physicists and professional players to deliver an accurate simulation of the game.
The database currently catalogues a single PAL variant, an Original release distributed across the UK, France, Germany, and Spain. The release is housed in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram, on a single disc, in English only. No loose paperwork or bundled demo discs are documented. Virtual Pool was notable for allowing players to walk around the table to assess shots from multiple angles, a feature that set it apart from contemporary pool titles. As a single-variant PAL release covering four territories in one pressing, it is a clean and concise entry for collectors of sports simulation titles from Interplay’s mid-1990s catalogue.
