Vigilante 8

Vigilante 8 is a vehicular combat game developed by Luxoflux and published by Activision for the PlayStation, set in an alternate 1975 America. Rooted in the Interstate ‘76 universe, the game follows two factions, the Vigilantes and the Coyotes, in an oil-industry conflict driven by the Australian terrorist Sid Burn and the corporation OMAR. The PAL release covers the UK, France, Germany, and Italy across four variants, each with their own individual serial. The UK and France pressings carry a Hologram B on the case, while the Germany and Italy pressings carry a Hologram A, making hologram type a useful identifier for this title’s variants. All four are original releases in Full Jewel PAL cases on a single disc, released on 26 June 1998. The distinct territory-per-serial approach and the hologram variation across the set make Vigilante 8 a slightly more involved title to collect in full PAL form.
