V-Ball, also known as V-Ball: Beach Volley Heroes, is an arcade beach volleyball game developed by American Technos and published by Funsoft. A spiritual sequel to the NES title Super Spike V’Ball, it features ten playable teams including soldiers, ninjas, and soccer players, each with their own special moves. The PAL release landscape consists of a single catalogued variant covering a wide swathe of Europe, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Denmark. That single pressing is housed in a Full Jewel PAL case with one disc and is presented in English only. The earliest PAL release is dated 1 August 1998. Source material is limited but confirms the broad multi-territory nature of this single release. The game’s unique team roster and arcade sensibility give it some curiostiy value among collectors of obscure sports titles.
