Ubik is a tactical action and strategy game developed by Smart Dog and published by Cryo Interactive Entertainment, very loosely inspired by Philip K. Dick’s 1969 novel of the same name. Set in 2019, players command a squad of individuals with specialised weapon and PSI skills through missions against the corporate adversary the Hollis Corporation.

A single PAL variant has been catalogued, an Original release covering the UK, France, and Germany under one pressing. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram B on the case, a single disc supporting English, French, and German, and a release date of 27 October 2000. It carries serial SLES-00722.

The late release date of October 2000 makes Ubik one of the later original PlayStation titles to reach the PAL market, placing it at the tail end of the console’s active retail life. Cryo Interactive titles from this period tend to have modest print runs, and complete copies of Ubik are not commonly encountered, particularly outside France.
