Theme Hospital

Theme Hospital is a business simulation game developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts, originally released for PC in 1997 before being ported to PlayStation in 1998. Players design and manage a private hospital, hiring staff and treating patients suffering from a range of comical fictional ailments, with the game noted for its humour and cultural references. Four PAL variants are catalogued, each covering a distinct territory: UK, France, Germany, and Spain, all under serial SLES-00627 and released on 10 February 1998. All releases use Full Jewel PAL cases with holograms on the cases, with each disc supporting English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Swedish. The broad multilingual support reflects EA’s packaging strategy for this title, and the game’s commercial success, having sold over four million copies worldwide, gives the PAL variants solid collector significance.
