Initially Released 30 October 1998

Tenchu: Stealth Assassins is a 1998 stealth action game developed by Acquire and published outside Japan by Activision for the PlayStation. The first in the Tenchu series, it follows ninja operatives Rikimaru and Ayame across missions in Sengoku-era Japan, emphasising stealth and silent elimination over direct combat. Five PAL variants are catalogued across France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK, all as Original pressings in Full Jewel PAL cases on a single disc with Hologram A on the case. Language coverage across the set includes English, French, and Italian. Motion capture was used for player animations, with actor and martial artist Sho Kosugi involved in production. The game was a commercial success worldwide and remains highly regarded in the stealth genre, making it a well-sought PAL collectible.
