Team Buddies

Team Buddies is a 2000 action strategy game developed by Psygnosis Camden Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, with Midway Games handling the North American release. It was the last title developed by the Camden Town studio before the team’s full absorption into Sony as Studio Soho. The premise sees colour-coded teams of small characters fighting over crates of weapons and gear dropped onto an arena map.

The PAL landscape comprises five catalogued variants covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, split across two disc serials. The UK, French, and German pressings share SCES-01923, while the Italian and Spanish pressings move to a separate SCES-02986 serial, an unusual two-serial split for a single title. The earliest PAL release is dated 15 September 2000.

All five variants ship in Full Jewel PAL cases as single-disc releases with a Hologram B marking on the case. The two-serial split makes territorial identification straightforward by serial alone within the catalogued range. A clear pickup for collectors documenting the final output of the Camden Town studio.
