Tail Concerto

Tail Concerto is an action-adventure platformer developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Bandai. It was the studio’s first game and the opening instalment in the Little Tail Bronx series, set in a steampunk world of floating islands populated by anthropomorphic dogs and cats. Players take on the role of Waffle, a young canine police officer, who uses a robotic suit to stop the Black Cats gang from collecting magic crystals.

The game is notable for its anime cutscenes, spoken dialogue and character designs by manga artist Nobuteru Yuki.

In the PAL region, one variant is catalogued, an Original release in France with an earliest release date of 31 August 1999. It is a French language release in a Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram B, and it contains a single disc. No other PAL countries are recorded at present, and research is ongoing.

With only the French edition catalogued so far, it is of real interest to collectors of PAL oddities and to fans of CyberConnect2’s early work.
