Street Fighter Alpha 2, known as Street Fighter Zero 2 in Japan and several other territories, is a 1996 fighting game developed and published by Capcom for arcades and subsequently ported to PlayStation and other home platforms. A sequel to Street Fighter Alpha, the game introduced new attacks, stages, endings, and gameplay features including custom combo mechanics. The PlayStation port notably added Shin Akuma as a selectable character via a secret code, alongside an arranged soundtrack. Only one PAL variant has been catalogued, an Original multi-country pressing covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain in a Full Jewel PAL case without a hologram, released in December 1996. As a single-variant PAL release published by Virgin Interactive, this is an important entry in the PAL Capcom catalogue for collectors of the Alpha series.
