Spyro the Dragon

Spyro the Dragon is an open-world 3D platformer developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for the PlayStation. The game stars a young purple dragon named Spyro and his dragonfly companion Sparx, who must travel across the Dragon Kingdom to defeat the villain Gnasty Gnorc. Six PAL variants have been catalogued, covering the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and a multi-territory pressing for France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. All Original releases are presented in Full Jewel PAL cases, while the Platinum pressing uses a Full Jewel Black Bordered PAL case with Hologram B on the case. The Original releases carry a bundled Winter Releases ‘98 demo disc. The game first appeared in PAL territories in October 1998 and remains one of the most recognisable PlayStation titles for collectors.
