Sports Car GT

Sports Car GT is a racing simulation with a slight arcade feel, published by Electronic Arts. The PlayStation version was developed by Point of View, separately from the Windows version by Image Space, so the two are quite distinct games. It began life as a Virgin Interactive project and features licensed cars from manufacturers including BMW.

Ten variants are catalogued for PAL, covering France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and the UK, with the earliest release recorded as 5 April 1999. Release types include Original, EA Classics and Value Series EA Classics. Every variant uses a Full Jewel PAL case with one disc, and language coverage is English, French and German.

Hologram markings differ by serial range. The UK-based serial family is recorded as carrying a hologram, while the French and German releases use their own serials and Hologram B. One entry has no country recorded, and some UK copies cover multiple countries on a single case.

With Original and budget re-release pressings in several territories, the title offers a useful study in how EA repackaged its catalogue, and a full set takes some effort to assemble.
