Speed Freaks

Speed Freaks, known in North America as Speed Punks, is a kart-style racing game developed by Funcom and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for the PlayStation. Players race across varied tracks while using weapons including missiles, speed boosts, and slime, with support for up to four players using a multitap. The game launched in Europe on 15 September 1999, ahead of its North American release the following year.

Only a single PAL variant is currently catalogued, carrying serial SCES-01763, with English as the only documented language on a single disc. Country of origin, case type, hologram, and EAN barcode details all remain unconfirmed. As an SCES-serial Sony first-party title with a Europe-first release, Speed Freaks is of interest to collectors of PAL-exclusives and SCEE published racing games.
