Soviet Strike

Soviet Strike is a helicopter-based shooter developed by Tiburon Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, set in a fictionalised post-Soviet Russia and surrounding regions. The player pilots an Apache helicopter against the forces of a renegade ex-KGB general codenamed Shadowman, managing fuel, ammunition, and strategy alongside the shooting action. It was the Strike series’ first instalment on a 32-bit console, originally conceived for the 3DO before moving to PlayStation. Eight PAL variants are catalogued across France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and the UK, covering Original, Platinum, EA Classics, and Value Series EA Classics release types. The Original pressings for the UK, France, and Germany each carry distinct serials, while the UK later received EA Classics and Value Series EA Classics reissues under a hash-suffix serial. Platinum reissues cover the UK, Sweden, Spain, Italy, France, and Germany across multiple pressings. Original releases carry no hologram, while Platinum and EA Classics editions carry Hologram on the case. A well-distributed PAL set for a strong mid-1990s EA action title.
