Slamscape is a surreal 3D shooter developed by Viacom New Media and published by Virgin Interactive, set in a bizarre world populated by bomb-throwing ferris wheels, explosive balloons, and monstrous creations. Players pilot a rocket-mounted pile driver called a Slamjet, blasting through four strange regions to collect Orb-Ids. The game features an original soundtrack by God Lives Underwater.

One PAL variant is currently catalogued, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain as a combined multi-territory pressing. The release is presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case, and contains a single English-language disc. The earliest PAL release date is 15 March 1997.

No loose paperwork or bundled demo discs have been documented. Slamscape’s wildly inventive premise and the involvement of Viacom New Media make it an unusual entry in the PAL PS1 library, and a clean copy is a colourful find for collectors drawn to the stranger edges of the catalogue.
