SimCity 2000 is a city-building simulation developed by Maxis and co-created by Will Wright and Fred Haslam, first released for PC in 1993 and ported to PlayStation in 1996. Players design and manage cities from an isometric perspective, balancing residential, industrial, and infrastructure needs while maintaining the city budget and environmental standards. The game sold approximately 4.23 million copies across all platforms. Only one PAL variant has been catalogued for the PlayStation release, an Original pressing covering the UK, France, Germany, and Spain in a Full Jewel PAL case without a hologram, released in November 1998. Language support spans English, French, German, and Spanish. An interesting loose paperwork item is documented for this variant: a Sim City Free Mobile Phone Offering Flyer, along with a matching pink square case sticker advertising the promotion. A late but notable PAL pressing of a landmark PC strategy title.
