Shaolin

Shaolin, known as Wu-Tang: Taste the Pain in PAL regions and Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style in North America, is a fighting game developed by Paradox Development and published by THQ for the PlayStation. Based on the hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan, the game features characters modelled on the group’s members and supports up to four simultaneous players. The game engine was originally developed for the unreleased PlayStation title Thrill Kill, and features graphic content gated behind a code found in the manual.

Two PAL variants are catalogued, one confirmed as a UK and Germany original in a Full Jewel PAL case with a hologram on the case (SLES-01658), and a second pending variant under the same serial. The confirmed variant was released on 31 March 2000, and research notes record a barcode sticker (4005209035255) applied over the base barcode on some copies. The game was not released in the United States, making PAL and Japanese copies the only physical editions. The earliest PAL release was 31 March 2000.
