SaGa Frontier 2 is the 1999 role-playing game developed and published by Squaresoft, the eighth title in the wider SaGa series and the first to be released in PAL territories courtesy of Square’s direct European distribution. The game features hand-painted watercolour backdrops and characters that give it a distinctive storybook visual identity. The PAL physical landscape covers the UK, France and Germany across four catalogued variants split across three master serials, with English on SLES-02112 receiving two distinct UK pressings, French on SLES-02113 and German on SLES-02118. All variants are issued as Originals housed in Full Jewel PAL cases with Hologram B on the cases and a single disc inside. Languages are split English, French and German across the masters. The earliest documented PAL release is 22 March 2000. As Square’s direct PAL release of a niche SaGa entry, this is a meaningful collector target for Square completionists building a full PSX SaGa shelf in PAL form.
