Rushdown is a multi-discipline extreme sports racing game developed by Canal+ Multimedia and Virtual Studio, published by Canal+ Multimedia with distribution by Infogrames. The game covers kayaking, snowboarding, and biking across global settings including Africa, Europe, America, Asia, and Japan, with equipment rated individually for speed, handling, and grip. A soundtrack featuring thirteen tracks from six French bands contributes a distinctive character to the release. Two PAL variants are catalogued, released from 16 November 1998 and covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands across single disc Full Jewel PAL cases, in English, French, and German. The two pressings share the same serial but carry different EANs, indicating distinct regional editions. A somewhat overlooked title from a French developer, Rushdown is of moderate interest as a late-1990s Canal+ publishing curiosity.
