Rollcage
SLES-01660
Initially Released 15 March 1999
Rollcage is a 1999 arcade-style racing game developed by Attention to Detail and published by Psygnosis for the PlayStation and PC. The game’s defining mechanic is a physics engine that allows cars to drive on walls and ceilings at extreme speeds due to aerodynamic downforce, and it featured an original soundtrack by Fatboy Slim. It was followed by a sequel, Rollcage Stage II.
Four PAL variants are catalogued across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands, all as original releases in Full Jewel PAL cases with a Hologram A on the case on a single disc. All variants share serial SLES-01660. Language support spans English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. The earliest PAL release was 15 March 1999. Rollcage was well received by critics, and the UK and multi-territory pressings are the most commonly encountered editions.
