Road Rage, known in Japan as Speed King NEO KOBE 2045, is a cyberpunk-themed futuristic racing game originally developed by Konami for arcades in 1995 and ported to PlayStation in 1997. The game is set in Neo Kobe City, the setting also used in Konami’s Snatcher, and contains references to numerous other Konami titles across its environments. Gameplay is similar in feel to Wipeout, and the port supports the NeGcon analog controller for an authentic arcade experience. The European PlayStation version is considered obscure and rare. Two PAL variants are catalogued, both Original pressings in Full Jewel PAL cases, one covering the UK and one covering France, the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany. Both carry Hologram on the case. The noted rarity of the European release makes this a particularly sought-after entry in the PAL catalogue for collectors of obscure racing titles.
