Ridge Racer Revolution
SCES-00242
Initially Released 1 May 1996
Ridge Racer Revolution is an arcade racing game developed by Namco and published in PAL territories by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, the PlayStation sequel to the original Ridge Racer adding two hidden cars, two-player link cable support, and a deeper overall race experience.
The database currently catalogues 4 PAL variants across Original and Platinum release types. Distribution covered the UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain. The Original variants come in Full Jewel PAL cases, with some carrying no hologram and others bearing the Hologram B variant on the case. A key physical note is that due to the layout of the case design, the Hologram B is not placed in the standard bottom-left position but is instead located between the Namco and SCE logos at the bottom. The Platinum re-release carries the standard hologram. Documented loose paperwork includes a Green Registration Card and a Ridge Racer Revolution Sticker Sheet. The original release landscape across this title offers collectors several distinct physical variants to pursue, including the early no-hologram pressing.
