Real Bout Fatal Fury is a 2D fighting game developed by SNK and published in PAL territories by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. The game revised the control scheme of the Fatal Fury series, reducing attack buttons to three and introducing dedicated plane-switching mechanics alongside new ring-out elements. Four PAL variants are catalogued, covering the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Italy, all under serial SCES-00561 and released on 1 August 1997. All releases use a Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL case format on a single disc in English. The cases carry holograms. The four variants are distinguished by territory groupings, with separate pressings for the UK, France, Germany, and a combined Netherlands and Italy release, making a full set of four a reasonable target for completionists focusing on the SCES SNK catalogue from this period.
