Initially Released 10 December 1995

Rayman is a platform game developed by Ubi Pictures and published by Ubi Soft, first released on the PlayStation in December 1995. Players control the limbless hero Rayman as he pursues the villain Mr Dark across a vibrant world of six thematic zones, freeing captured Electoons and gathering abilities along the way.

The database catalogues four PAL variants, all distributed across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Netherlands. Release types include Original, Platinum, and two Reprints. All four use Full Jewel PAL cases and a hologram is present on the case for the Platinum and both Reprints, while the Original carries none. All releases contain a single disc with English, French, and German language support. No loose paperwork or bundled demos are documented.

Research notes identify the original pressing by its mostly black rear inlay with a 1995 copyright notice, while the Reprints are distinguished by yellow rear inlays with an updated 2000 copyright date, and differences in the placement of the Ubisoft logo on the front cover.
