Q-bert is a remake of the classic 1982 Gottlieb arcade isometric action puzzle game, developed by Artech Studios in collaboration with Digital Eclipse and published in PAL territories by Hasbro Interactive under the Atari banner. The PlayStation conversion modernises the iconic pyramid hopping gameplay while retaining the distinctive isometric pseudo 3D presentation and the title character’s recognisable “swearing” sound effects. The PAL release landscape comprises three catalogued variants all under shared serial SLES-02214, distributed in Full Jewel PAL cases on a single disc and carrying Hologram B authentication on the case. Documented variants cover the UK pressing, a combined France and Italy SKU, and a dedicated Germany pressing. The disc carries English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish language support across the family. The earliest catalogued PAL release is dated 15th January 2000. Loose paperwork documented for the UK variant includes the Atari Welcome to AtariLand Catalogue with reference 078.ATIN.MA/2. Collector interest is niche, sitting alongside other Hasbro Interactive arcade revivals of the period.
