Point Blank
SCES-00886
Initially Released 24 July 1998
Point Blank is a light gun arcade shooter series developed by Tose Software and published by Namco, originally designed for the arcade before being ported to PlayStation. Players use a light gun peripheral to complete a variety of non-violent target shooting challenges across multiple stages and difficulty levels. PAL collectors will find two catalogued original variants, both sharing the same serial and covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. The second variant is documented as a bundle version, intended not to be sold separately, and carries a distinct EAN barcode. Both releases are housed in Full Jewel PAL cases with a single disc and support English, French, and German. The earliest PAL release is dated 24 July 1998. The hologram types on the cases are unconfirmed. A prominent bundled release history makes tracking complete standalone copies worthwhile for collectors.
