SLES-00319
Initially Released 10 March 1997
Player Manager is a football management game developed by Anco and published by Funsoft, originating on the Amiga and Atari ST in 1990 and adapted for PlayStation. The title is notable for combining football management with a player-role perspective, though in the PlayStation iteration the player does not directly control their on-field avatar. Managers can adjust tactics across eight formations and rate players across 18 attributes. The PAL release arrived on 10 March 1997.
One variant is currently catalogued in the database, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Norway. The release comes in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case, contains a single disc, and includes an impressively broad set of languages, covering English, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish, and Swedish. No loose paperwork or bundled demo discs have been documented. As a single-variant title with wide multilingual coverage, Player Manager is a well-distributed but relatively niche find for PAL collectors.
