Perfect Assassin is a point-and-click action adventure developed by Synthetic Dimensions and Veritas Productions and published by Grolier Interactive, released for MS-DOS in 1997 and PlayStation in 1998. Players control Charon, a cyborg assassin who loses his memory during a mission and finds himself stranded on the planet Kar-Naq, hunted and forced to rely on instinct to complete his assignment. The game uses a third-person perspective with a mouse-driven interface and a topical conversation system. Environments were designed by fantasy comic artist Kev Walker.
A single PAL variant has been catalogued, an Original release covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a single disc supporting English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, and a release date of 1 June 1998, carrying serial SLES-00805.
Grolier Interactive released a handful of interesting niche titles in the PAL market, and Perfect Assassin is among the most visually distinctive. Complete copies are not commonly encountered.
