Omega Boost is a 1999 3D shoot ’em up developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, the studio’s only non-Gran Turismo title and the first project Polyphony released after their formation as a dedicated subsidiary. The game features mecha designs by Macross creator Shoji Kawamori. The PAL physical landscape consists of a single catalogued variant on SCES-02120 issued as an Original on a single disc, supporting English, French, German, Italian and Spanish language options. Country of distribution, case type and hologram are not yet documented for this entry and physical research is ongoing. As Polyphony Digital’s lone non-racing release and a late-PSX showcase title for the studio’s technical capabilities, Omega Boost holds particular interest for collectors documenting Sony’s first-party studio history and developer-specific PAL libraries.
