Novastorm

Novastorm, also known as Scavenger 4 in Japan, is a rail shooter developed and published by Psygnosis, originally released for 3DO and Sega CD in 1994 before being ported to PlayStation and DOS in 1995. Players pilot the Scavenger 4 space fighter through a series of high-speed on-rails stages against enemy forces in a visually striking science fiction setting.

The database currently catalogues one PAL variant, an Original release distributed across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, and Norway, dated 30 October 1995. This single pressing is presented in a Multiway Jewel Two Disk case, an unusual choice for a single-disc release, and carries no hologram on the case. The release contains two discs and is in English throughout. No loose paperwork or bundled demos are documented.

The use of the two-disk Multiway case for this release is a notable packaging characteristic, and as a single PAL variant rail shooter from the launch window, Novastorm is a moderately uncommon find.
