NHL Powerplay is an ice hockey simulation developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Virgin Interactive, covering the full roster of NHL teams alongside several international Olympic sides. The game is the sequel to NHL Powerplay ‘96, with no intervening entry in the series. The PAL release arrived on 20 June 1997.

The release comes in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case, contains a single disc, and is an English-only release. No loose paperwork or bundled demo discs have been documented.
