NHL FaceOff ‘97 is an ice hockey game developed by Sony Interactive Studios America and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, representing the second entry in Sony’s NHL FaceOff series for the PlayStation. The game features all 26 NHL teams from the 1997 season and includes a full Season mode, player trading, and creation tools.
One PAL variant is currently catalogued, covering the UK, France, and Germany as a combined tri-territory pressing. The release is presented in the less common Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL case format with no hologram on the case, and contains a single English-language disc. The earliest PAL release date is 10 March 1997.
