The Next Tetris
SLES-01987
Initially Released 10 June 1999
The Next Tetris is a modernised take on the classic block puzzle game developed by Blue Planet Interactive and published by Hasbro Interactive for PlayStation. Featuring six themed zones each with three variations on the core Tetris formula, the game adds power-ups and a preset point target system alongside the familiar gameplay. It was later associated with Atari through the Hasbro/Infogrames umbrella.
Only a single PAL variant is currently catalogued, carrying serial SLES-01987, with language support for Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish on a single disc. Country of origin, case type, hologram, and EAN barcode details are all unconfirmed. An Atari Welcome to AtariLand Catalogue (078.ATIN.MA/2) is documented as loose paperwork with the known variant. The earliest PAL release date is recorded as 10 June 1999.
