NBA Live 99 is a basketball game developed by NuFX and published by EA Sports, the fifth instalment in the NBA Live series. The game featured Practice Mode and multi-season play with player development, and shipped with 1997-98 rosters due to the 1998 NBA lockout. Six PAL variants have been catalogued, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and a combined Netherlands and Greece pressing. All are Original releases in Full Jewel PAL cases on a single disc. Language coverage varies by territory across English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. A square holographic NBA Live 99 Official Product case sticker has been documented across several pressings. Loose paperwork includes an EA Catalogue and a German EA registration card. The game first appeared in PAL territories in December 1998.
