NASCAR 98 is a racing simulator developed by Stormfront Studios and published by EA Sports, representing the first entry in the EA Sports NASCAR series for PlayStation. The game features 24 real NASCAR drivers, ten official tracks, and six additional fantasy circuits. PAL collectors will find four catalogued original variants. The German pressing uses a separate serial, while the UK, Italy, and Spain share another serial across distinct EAN barcodes. Two UK pressings with different barcodes are also catalogued. All releases are housed in Full Jewel PAL cases with a single disc. The earliest PAL release is dated 10 November 1997. The hologram types on the cases are unconfirmed. As a niche American motorsport title released in Europe, PAL copies are moderatley uncommon.
